| Marigold approached the front desk at the library. She was looking for a specific book.
"How may I help you?"the librarian asked cheerfully. She must have had some bacon this morning.Marigold thought.
"Yes. I was looking for a book called The Heart of a Servant. Can you tell me where it is?"Marigold asked. The Heart of a Servant was all about healing magic and Marigold wanted to see if there were any potions or spells she could do to help her leg.
"It's in the healing section, shelf three, middle row, four from the left. The companion book, The Soul of the Touch, is right next to it. The cover is gold with a picture of the heart."she said quickly, her eyes glowing a little bit. Marigold curtised and said thank you, walking back to that section.
She didn't know how long she was there. But, she knew it had to be hours because someone called out,"Here you are! We missed you at dinner." Marigold looked up and smiled at her friend. She was carrying a plate of food with her.

| Adele, Seamus, Asher, and Gavin wandered through the vast library in search of Marigold. They hadn’t seen her all day, and Adelaine had a hunch she’d be here. When the boys had incredulously asked her why (yes, even Ravenclaw lads were still lads) she had replied ”Because, that’s where I would be.” Either there or the Quidditch Pitch. So, on they searched, each taking turns carrying the hot plate of food, until finally they found her.
“Ta healin’ section, eh?” Seamus laughed, sitting down. “Can’ deal wit ta leg?”
“You should really leave a note next time you go missing,” Gavin joked, plopping down by Seamus.
Asher snatched the plate from Adelaine and set it down in front of Marigold as he (unsurprisingly) slid into the chair next to her. It looked as though her friend had read every book on the shelf. Taking a seat across from her, in between Seamus and Gavin, Adele reached out and grabbed one of the books strewn across the table. This one was called The Secret Art Of Healing. Not exactly one she’d have chosen herself.
“So, found anything to fix your leg?” she asked with a chuckle, flipping through pages.

| Marigold rubbed her eyes and put a bookmark in the book she was reading. She had finished The Heart of a Servant and The Soul of the Touch ages ago. She proceeded to read more books on the topic, hoping to get a lead.
"I can deal with the leg Seamus. But anything to help would be nice. And, yes sir Gavin sir."Marigold said, starting to eat the food they brought her. It was delicious, as always. She cleared her throat and pulled out some notes she made.
"Well, there's the Episkey can heal minor injuries so that might work. But, the general spell is Vulnera Sanentur. It can heal everything from minor cuts to deep gashes so that might be the one I use."she told them, looking through her notes.
"Wait a minute. You plan on performing the spell yourself?"Gavin asked, a bit shocked. Marigold looked around the table. They all seemed a bit worried.
"Well, yeah. Why? Is that not a good idea?"she asked. The third years looked uneasy at each other. Marigold didn't think it was a bad idea. She hated to bother the nurse all the time so she just wanted her leg healed. But, by the way Asher was shaking his head, Gavin was going through her notes, and Seamus giving her a weird look, she knew they had a reason to be concerned.

| Adele noted the tone Marigold had when she replied to Seamus. Was she put out with him for some reason? Adelaine mentally shrugged and listened to the conversation pan out. Marigold was planning on performing the spell herself? Never a good idea.
“I think they’re a bit concerned because it can go terribly wrong,” Adele said bluntly, flipping through the pages of a book. “You should never perform a healing spell on yourself, you want someone who’s rather advanced to do it. Or at least someone who can point the wand straight at the injury.”
As she stared at a page with illustrations of a man with smoking ears, she felt the third years’ eyes on her. Tapping her fingers on the table, she looked up slowly, her eyes shifting from person to person.
“What…?” she asked, closing the book. " Oh no, not me. Marigold, you need to go to the nurse."

| "I suppose. But, all she'll do is put more stitches in."she said, looking through her notes again.
"I'm sure if you show her all the notes you've made, she'll take your advice on it."Asher said. The third years nodded.
"Perhaps."she said quietly.
"Maybe she'll make ye her assistant. I can see ye becoming a Healer or a Mediwizard."Seamus commented. Marigold looked at him. He never really talked to her much anymore.
"Yeah. Come on. Let's go."Gavin encouraged, picking up her notes. Marigold smiled and nodded. Maybe they were right.

| Adele stared sadly at the disappointed look on Marigold’s face. The lads were already out of their seats, oblivious. Marigold never really got opportunities to prove herself; she was always overshadowed by the other Ravenclaws.
“Sit down,” Adelaine said firmly. “Marigold can do this.”
The boys, startled by the command, stood in shock for a moment before hustling back to their seats. Gavin spread out the notes before Marigold, and Asher and Seamus scooted their seats in closer to the table. Adelaine scanned the papers and found the one that described Vulnera Sanentur, pushing it towards her friend.
“Alright then, Marigold,” she said, trying to hide her nervousness. “Give it a go. But remember, make sure your wand is pointing directly at it.”

| Marigold was glad that Adele had confidence on her. She smiled and propped her leg up on table, looking at her notes. The third year boy sat back down uneasily.
"Are you sure about this?"Asher asked.
"Of course. If something goes wrong, the nurse can fix it. But, let me try first."Marigold said, pulling up her skirt a little. It was unlady like but she didn't care.
She examined the gash. The skin around it looked a bit infected. She thought back to the needle the nurse used. How many times had she used that needle?she thought. The stitches were still in place but it was sloppy. Marigold flexed her calf and they popped open. Blood welled up and Gavin gagged.
"Maybe ye shouldn't do this."Seamus suggested.
"I can do it Seamus."Marigold insisted.
Marigold pulled out her wand and found the deepest part of the gash. She pointed her wand and sucked in a deep breath. Time seemed to stand still.
"Vulnera Sanentur."Marigold said. A gold light came out of her wand and she felt a warm, fuzzy feeling. She closed her eyes and focused. She could feel her skin knitting itself together, like a jigsaw puzzle. After a minute, she stopped and looked at the gash. She smiled. All healed.

| There was a collective sigh of relief as Marigold successfully healed her leg - at last! Adelaine, of course, hadn't been able to watch; she looked away as soon as the skin began to meld back together.
"Well done, Marigold!" Asher exclaimed, clapping her on the back .
"Really splendid," Gavin added, ever the gentleman.
"Thank goodness," Adele smiled, examining the healed gash.
If that hadn't gone well, the boys would have had her head for encouraging Marigold.
"I really meant wha' I said about ta mediwizard," Seamus insisted, giving her a pat on the shoulder. "I'd go to her righ' now an' show her ye're work!"
The lads nodded in agreement, and Adelaine re-stacked the parchments neatly. Glancing out the window, she noticed how dark it was.
"It must be nearly bedtime," she noted, furrowing her brow. "We'd better get back to the common room, we'll be in for it if we're caught out so late."
With that said, everyone stood and stretched. Seamus and Gavin tossed their robes over their shoulders, and Asher helpfully gathered Marigold's things.
"Anyone up for a trip to the kitchens?" Seamus grinned mischievously.
"Aye, you know I always am," Asher grinned.
"Count me out, I need to study," Adele said with a small smile.

| Marigold really couldn't believe that she had healed her leg. She examined the now healed gash. She flicked it and poked it. It was permanent. Nothing felt rubbery or fake. Nothing jiggled. She stood up and jumped up and down a little bit.
"What are ye doing?"Seamus asked.
"Making sure if it has effected anything else. It's for general injuries and conditions so things like low blood sugar should have stabilized."she said, putting books back on the shelf. Then, it hurt her like a ton of bricks. She smiled as she realized what had adjusted itself.
"Did you know that scallops have as many as 100 simple eyes? Did you know that the Catholic Church once put a dead Pope on trial? Did you know that seahorses don't have stomachs, just intestines for the absorption of nutrients from food?"Marigold said, suddenly jumping up and down. The third years groaned.
"It's her adrenaline level."Gavin predicted.
"Look at the back of your hand and extend your thumb. See those two little tendons pop out and form a triangle between your wrist and your first thumb joint? People call that triangle the "anatomical snuff box,"."Marigold said. Asher shook his head.
"Come on little girl. Let's get you to bed before you crash."Peyton said, leading her to the Ravenclaw common room.
"Did you know that dreams revel feelings we've hidden or repressed?"she asked.
