Flying In The Rain

Ravenclaw: Year 3 Posts : 447

Adele and her crew sneaked out of the Ravenclaw common room and over to the Quidditch Pitch. It had to be at least one in the morning, and the clouds were drooping they were so heavy with rain. But the excitement was building, nonetheless.

"This way," she directed them.

"Ta broom storage, eh?" Seamus asked, realizing what her plan was. They reached the room and he pulled out his wand. "Alohomora."

The door opened with a click and Adele headed inside. She found the broom chest in the far corner of the room. Kneeling beside it, she aimed her wand. "Alohomora." She pulled out three brooms and passed them to Marigold and Seamus.

"Let's do it!"

Ravenclaw: Year 3 Posts : 472

Marigold took the broom for Adele and put her hood up. It looked like rain.

Marigold mounted her broom and took off into the sky. It was dark and cloudy, but you could see a few stars in gaps in the clouds. She admired the sky for a moment before flying around the Pitch. The wind in her hair got her excited. It was such a rush.

"Oi! We should play a game."Seamus suggested. Marigold nodded. It was good idea.

"What game?"she asked. Seamus smiled and held up a banged up Quaffle.

"It's from last year. Got worn out pretty badly. But, we can use it."he suggested. No doubt he had to dig that out of the trash. Marigold nodded and watched Seamus go to the goal post.

The game was for Adele and marigold to try to get past Seamus. If they did, Seamus would have to fly around the Pitch ten times so he'll be dizzy and try again. If they didn't, one of them would switch with him. Marigold felt her confidence level shrinking. But, then, it started to downpour and it snapped her to her senses. She was ready.

Ravenclaw: Year 3 Posts : 447

Adelaine ran to the middle of the pitch and mounted the broom. With a hard kick, she shot up 20 feet in the air. She leaned forward and sped around the course twice, soaring like a bird; it was exhilarating. Seamus followed her lead and rose into the air, moving into a Sloth Grip Roll.

"Let's get to it, then," she shouted, catching the Quaffle when Seamus tossed it. "Prepare to be very dizzy!"

She tossed it up and caught it a few times to get the hang of it, then came to rest fifteen feet away from the goalposts. Just as she went to throw it, an idea came to mind.

"I have a better game," she grinned at Seamus. "Go get two more Quaffles."

He did as she told him and came back with two nicer looking balls, tossing one to Marigold and keeping one for himself. Seamus grinned, knowing exactly what she was going to suggest.

"Aye, so keep em in ta air," he shouted, tossing his up in the air. At the same time, she tossed hers up, too. Then they both flew around catching and throwing and catching again.

Ravenclaw: Year 3 Posts : 472

Marigold caught the Quaffle Adele tossed to her. She didn't really see the point in this game but it seemed fun. She threw the ball up and caught it. She tried to avoid Seamus and Adele but she was right in the middle so sometimes she had to catch two at a time. At least she learned how to fly with both her hands free.

"Look out Marigold."Seamus called to her. Marigold looked up. All three Quaffles were falling towards her and Adele and Seamus were to far away. Marigold caught one Quaffle with the right hand then one with the left. But, what was she supposed to do with the third Quaffle? Then, she had an idea.

Right when the Quaffle was a foot above her, Marigold flipped upside down really quickly and kicked the Quaffle towards Seamus. He caught it and Marigold righted herself on the broom.

"Nice job. You'll be a great Chaser or Seeker."Seamus said, punching her shoulder. Marigold blushed and smiled. She really wasn't that great but it felt nice to get recognized.
