(OOC: Coin flip determines that Team Silver wins with 210 - 90.)

Kolby sat down in the announcers booth and tapped on the device. It was on. He smiled and cleared his throat.

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the second scrimmage of the season!"he announced excitedly. The crowd cheered.

"Now, let's meet our teams."he said when he was handed the list.

"Playing for Team Silver, mentored by Ravenclaw Gavin Lydale and Hufflepuff Finnius Ruddock, are
our three Chasers: Gryffindor Alec Masterson, Slytherin Devan Rainey, and Ravenclaw Roger O'Dell
the two Beaters: Hufflepuff Mick Rainey and Slytherin Osmond Tanous,
the Keeper, Gryffindor Tomkin Davison,
and the Seeker, Gryffindor Arya Lannister."
Kolby said excitedly. The crowd cheered as Team Silver came out of the dressing room.

"And, playing for Team Gold, mentored by Gryffindor Asher Reviers and Slytherin Symon Fendrel, are
our three Chasers: Hufflepuff Jack Rodrin, Hufflepuff Elsa Nedler, and Gryffindor Christiare Le Clerc,
the two Beaters: Ravenclaw Adelaine Beaumont and Hufflepuff Jon Simmons,
the Keeper, Gryffindor Edwin Goddart,
and the Seeker, Ravenclaw Marigold Belet."
he announced. The crowd roared as Team Gold came out.

"Professor Renoir brings the Quaffle to the center of the Pitch. Let the game begin!"he announced as the Quaffle was thrown into the air.

The difference between this moment in the last game and now was vast. Last time Arya stood in this position - in the changing rooms, waiting to be announced - she was more nervous than the time she’d almost been arrested at Beaufort; so nervous she was almost sick. This time, she was ready to walk out onto the pitch.

Here we go,” Gavin grinned, leading them out.

They assumed the position and kicked off, and the game began. Arya did the same as last time and flew higher than everyone else. Almost immediately, Alec caught the Quaffle and it was shuffled back and forth between Team Silver’s Chasers. Come on, come on, she thought, willing them to score.

Yes!!” she shouted as Devan slammed it in the goal.

She barely had time to celebrate before a bludger came flying towards her; Osmond was right on time. He smacked it with the bat and sent it hurtling towards one of the Gold Beaters. Arry nodded and focused on the task at hand: spotting the Snitch.

Marigold yawned and rubbed her eyes. I knew I should have slept a bit more.she thought. She was kicking herself for not practicing since the last Flying lesson. She really didn't want to let her team down. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She was just as nervous as the first game.

"Are you okay?"Asher asked. Marigold smiled and gave him a thumbs up. She then yawned again when he turned to check on another player. She slapped her face, trying to wake up. Then, Kolby announced her team and they went on the Pitch.

She took off as soon as the Quaffle was thrown and went to the edge of the Pitch, looking for even an hint of gold, which was hard, considering her team was dressed in gold.

"Look out!"Ella yelled at her. She had spaced out but she zoomed away before a Bludger could hit her.

"Bloody hell."she muttered, rubbing her face. She then zoomed after the Snitch, which was taunting her and right in front of her face. She stopped when it zipped away. She looked at Devan as he scored. She sighed and began circling the Pitch slowly, trying to spot the Snitch.

Adelaine flew around the pitch, on the lookout for Bludgers. Team Silver was already 20 points ahead, as Alec had just scored on Edwin. She couldn’t remember correctly, but she was fairly certain she had most of the same people on her team - and Symon was mentoring again. Their interactions were far more awkward this time round; Symon still wanted to talk about something, and Adele couldn’t get her conversation with Marigold out of her head.

Oh!” she shouted, smacking a bludger away from Christiare. “Close one!

The bludger sped towards Arya. At the same time, Jack slammed the quaffle through the tallest basket and a cheer went up from the crowd. Finally, she sighed.

Your way, Adele!” Osmond yelled from across the Pitch.

She saw the bludger zoom over and fell into a Sloth Grip Roll right before it smashed into her head.

Thanks!

Another score by Jack - they were now tied.

"And the score is tied 20 to 20."Kolby informed, pushing the button to add the points.

"Alec Masterson races down the Pitch annnnnnddd successfully scores, making the score Gold 20 and Silver 30."he says pushing the button. The crowd cheered. It was obvious that they were just going for the winning team.

"Looks like Gold has some catching up to do."he jeered. He saw Symon glare at him from the sidelines. He stuck his tongue out at him and Symon rolled his eyes. Kolby noticed that Jacob was standing kinda close to Symon, watching the game. They seemed to be talking about something, watching the players moves. It was no doubt that they were friends. They were both Beaters for the Slytherin team.

"Kolby. Silver scored."the past announcer said.

"And, Silver scores again, making the score 20 to 40."he said quickly, snapping out of it and pushing the button. The crowd laughed at his split second of not concentrating.

"Sorry folks. Spaced out there for a second."he announced. The past announcer rolled his eyes and put his head in his hand.

"And, Elsa Nedler finally scored for Team Gold."he said, pushing the button.

"The score is now 30 to 40."he announced.

Mira sat in the stands with Peyton and Seamus, third row. The lads had finally come through on their promise to give her lessons; she wasn’t anywhere near as good as Adele or Arya, but she could at least fly now. And she had a new appreciation for game.

Can you believe they‘re still tied?” she questioned, astonished.

Elsa had just scored again, making the score 40-40. Mira squinted towards the skies; Osmond had just smacked a bludger towards Alec, which was quickly intercepted by Mick.

Gold’s gonna get it, I guarantee,” Peyton wagered.

Oi, no, Silver!” Seamus said confidently.

Care to make a bet?” Mira smiled.

Aye, two galleons says Arry get ta snitch an’ actually wins this time!” Seamus agreed, grinning.

Marigold yawned and rubbed her eyes. She was tired. The game has been going on for an hour already and no body has won yet. Of course, it was technically up to her or Arya to catch the Snitch and win the game and Marigold wasn't exactly doing a good job......But, that Snitch was a good hider. She flew around the Pitch in a constant slow circle, searching but she didn't see anything.

She was terrified to even venture into the middle of the Pitch, with Chasers and Beaters flying around like mad. The ball was going back and forth between various Gold and Silver Chasers. Right before one would score, another Chaser with catch it and try to zoom to the other side of the Pitch.

Focus. she thought to herself. She looked around and saw the Snitch hanging out by the announcer and professor tower box. She zoomed off and followed the Snitch, which then flew out of the arena. She circling the Pitch a couple times chasing it and then followed it above the clouds. She lost it after that though. She sighed and stayed up their a while, enjoying the view. But, soon, she noticed that it was hard to breathe and came back down to earth.

She was ready to pull her hair out when she couldn't find it again. She cursed under her breath and crossed her arms. She was cranky from lack of sleep. She looked over to Asher, who was watching someone else. But, she noticed Jacob giving her the 'calm down' hand signal. She took a deep breath in and counted to ten, trying to relax. She then continued with her slow, constant circle around the Pitch.

"This game is intense, with the teams just going back and forth."Kolby announced excitedly. It was true. For the past twenty minutes, they just go back and forth and back and forth. Finally, Roger took the Quaffle to the edge of the Pitch and scored. The crowd cheered.

"Roger O'Dell scores for Team Silver, untieing the score, which is now 50 to 40."Kolby announced, thankful for some action. He pushed the button and watched the game. Roger tossed it to Devan, who tossed it to Alec, who tossed it to Roger, who tossed it back to Devan, who scored. The crowd went crazy.

"And, Devan Rainey scores for Team Silver!"Kolby exclaimed, pushing the button.

"The score is now 60 to 40 and Team Gold does not look happy about it."Kolby said, referring how Asher groaned in frustration. Asher and Symon glared at him, while Jacob just laughed a bit.

"Shut your trap Kolby or I'll shut it for you."Jon said to him before flying off. Kolby laughed. He loved his job.

Adelaine dove down quickly, speeding towards Jack. The bludger was closing in, and she tipped her broom slightly to go faster. The crowd groaned. She was too late. The ball slammed into her teammate's leg with a sickening crunch and he lost his balance, falling to the sandpit. Jon reached him just before he hit the ground and caught him by his tunic. Symon signaled for them to come in, calling a time out.

"Bloody hell, I'm so so sorry!" Adele yelled, rushing over to Jack on the sidelines."I tried to get there in time!"

"And, you couldn't have shouted to him?!" Asher screamed at her.

She stood in silence, too shocked to speak, while Symon griped to Ash for raising his voice. Why hadn't she warned him? He could have easily spun out of the way. The boys moved Jack into the tent, and Healer Alys rushed over, wand out.

"Out of the way, out of the way," she demanded. "Oh, for heaven's sake, his bones are all splintered!"

While she worked intently, Symon put his arm around Adele in an attempt to cheer her up.

"He'll be fine," he assured her, as Asher stomped over.

"This is all your fault," he said angrily. "If you weren't so strung up on having glory for yourself, this wouldn't have happened!"

Marigold made Jack drink two vials of Neque Dolor and a vial of Ossa while Healer Alys did the main healing. This was the first time in a while that Marigold actually felt sick at the sight of any injury. Alys sent her back to the game after Jack stopped screaming.

Marigold stepped out of the tent just in time to hear what Asher said to Adele. Marigold felt her anger rise to levels she never knew she had. She marched straight up to Asher and slapped him across the face.

"Shut your filthy mouth, Asher Reviers!"she yelled, glaring at him. He just held his cheek and stared at her. He couldn't believe that she slapped him."You have no right to yell at anyone, you hedge-born. Your supposed to be mentoring, not yelling. She already feels guilty enough. It is not Adele's fault. It's nobody fault! So, get your temper under control and stop being a cox comb, dim witted whelp!" Marigold exploded. She immediately regretted her decision when she saw how much she hurt Asher, each insult stabbing him like a knife. He went into the tent, not being able to look at her. Marigold sighed and ran her hand through her hair. She turned to Adele and Symon, who had a shocked look on his face.

"Go talk to him and figure out what we should do since we're down a Chaser. I can do double duty if we need too but Jack won't be able to play. He's on too many drugs at the moment." she said.

"Remind me not to get on your bad side."he said, going into the tent after Asher. Jacob winked at her and followed Symon. Marigold gave Adele a hug.

"Jack will be fine."she said, smiling to Adele. She sighed and rubbed her temples when she heard Symon and Asher arguing.

"I'm going to kill them."Marigold said to Adele.

"And, Jack Rodrin is injured! We will be taking a break to tend to his injuries. Everyone give him a round of applause for his effort."Kolby announced. The crowd clapped their hands as Jack was taken off the Pitch. Kolby sighed and the older announcer put food in front of him. Kolby ate as he watched Team Gold argue. He winced when Marigold slapped some sense into Asher. He never seen the girl so angry.

Ten minutes later, Team Gold was ready to play again.

"And, we're back folks with Gryffindor Theo Corbet taking Jack Rodrin's place. The teams are back in position and the Quaffle is back in play! Continue the game!"he said. The first years took off again but Kolby noticed that they were much more hesitant.

"And, Theo scores for Team Gold, making the score 60 to 50."Kolby announced. The crowd cheered and the game intensified again.

Arya and her team kicked off again once the timeout was over. She had been hovering a few feet above Jack when he got hit, and heard the crunch of his bones - it was absolutely sickening. He was in the Gold tent though, so she could only assume that Healer Alys was taking care of him.

"Look out, Arry!"

Mick sped over and smacked a bludger away just in time. She sighed in relief, not wanting to end up like Jack Rodrin. She pulled her broom up and flew higher to observe the Pitch. Theo scored again, and Aya wondered why he wasn't on the the team in the first place; he was a backup, but he'd already proved himself better than jack.

"Come on, little snitch." she muttered, peering around.

A flash of gold by the ground caught her attention, but it was gone just as quickly.

"We're catching up!" Peyton shouted in Seamus' ear.

"Oi, shut it," Seamus griped.

The score was now tied again, 60-60. If Gold kept it up, Seamus would owe Peyton two galleons. Mira wasn't in on the bet; her father always told her gambling was the worst illness (this was before her mother died of the plague, of course). It was too risky, and she didn't have two galleons to lose.

"I hope Jack is alright," she sighed, peering toward the Gold tent.

"Can ye believe Asher?" Seamus growled, going red in the face again. "Lousy dunce."

"Aye, don't start again." Peyton moaned, nudging him.

The whole school had seen Asher scolding Adele, which threw Seamus into a fit - Mira was surprised they were still friends, with all the fighting they did. Then the whole school saw Marigold slap Asher. If she had to guess, she'd say there was gonna be a lot of name-calling in his future.

"Nice block, Jon." Peyton shouted, as if Jon could hear him.

Marigold went back up into the air, high above the rest of teams. She wanted to avoid everything that was going on in the middle. The game was tied again and everyone was giving it their all.

Marigold saw the Snitch under all her teammates, floating around, looking like it was enjoying the game. Marigold sighed. She knew she had to dive through all the mess in order to get to it in time. She took a deep breath and flew towards the ground, seeing an opening in the mass of dense bodies. She did a Sloth Grip Roll to avoid crashing into Elsa. She straightened up about two feet from the ground and continued flying after the Snitch. She gasped and flew upwards when she almost hit the wall. They didn't need a second injury. But, she lost the Snitch.

She flew up beside Arya, who wasn't having much like either.

"Tricky little thing, isn't it?"she said, looking for it again. But, Gold had scored again, thanks to Theo. Marigold smiled.

Adele was feeling a bit unnerved after what had happened. She was still in shock over Asher screaming at her, she barely even noticed Marigold sticking up for her. Symon was furious, she could hear him shouting at Asher inside the tent for the rest of the time out.

"Focus, Adele," she muttered to herself, kicking off.

Once the game got going again, she felt more in her element. She successfully smacked the bludger away from two of Gold's Chasers and dodged one herself sent by Mick Rainey. The crowd went wild, which meant someone scored. Theo had done it again, bringing Team Gold up to 80.

"Come on, Marigold," she shouted, noticing her friend up in the air.

Her energy had built back up, and she sped towards the nearest bludger. As hard as she could, she whacked it and sent it hurling towards Arya. She made a mental noted to apologize later.

Arya was just about to respond to Marigold when she noticed a gleam of gold over by the announcer's box. Determined, she sped off. Her hopes were dashed, however, when the snitch disappeared again. She grimaced and flew past the box, looking around again.

"Bloody hell, he's good," she gasped as Theo scored again.

Silver seemed to be at a standstill - no one could get their hands on the Quaffle. The score was 90 - 60. Arry thought about what Gavin had told her the last time.  [i]"Catch it when the time is right,"[/b] which she had tried to do. This time, she wasn't going to wait until the last minute. The time was now.

"Where are you?" the future Seeker muttered.

She sat calmly and watched. Finally, she saw the glint of gold, hovering a few feet away from Gavin and Finnius. For a moment, she wondered of there was a way to "stalk" a snitch, like a lion stalks it's prey. With a roll of her eyes, she just went for it.

"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon." she yelled, gritting her teeth.

With her hand outstretched, she snatched the little bugger right out of the air. She hadn't even noticed Finn's face - he thought she had lost her mind and was trying to crash into him. The crowd roared, an she hopped off her broom, only to be lifted into the air by an overjoyed Gavin.

"And, Arya Lannister has caught the Golden Snitch, thus ending the game with a score of 210 to 90!! Congratulations Team Silver!"Kolby announced, super excited. The crowd roared and cheered. He saw Team Gold shake hands with Team Silver team members. They were friends after all and they knew it was just a game.

"As the sun sets and moon comes out, Team Silver wins the second  scrimmage. Join us in the Great Hall for a celebratory feast!"Kolby announced, getting handed a piece of paper from the past announcer. He watched as the players still celebrated on the field as the crowd began to trickle into the Great Hall. Kolby stepped back from the device and smiled.

"Good job Kolby."the past announcer said, putting a hand on his shoulder. Kolby smiled and thanked him.

He sighed as he packed up his stuff and left for the Great Hall.

Peyton groaned and practically threw the two galleons at Seamus, who was grinning from ear to ear. He kissed the coins and pulled Mira towards him, squeezing her tight. He looked like her could fly.

"Next Hogsmeade trip is on me." he laughed happily.

"Ay, don't get cocky, Irish boy," Peyton rolled his eyes.

"Let's go break into their huddle,"Mira smiled, linking arms with them.

They rushed down the stairs and onto the sidelines, where Team Silver was having a mini celebration, along with some of Team Gold. Arya was being lifted into the air as her teammates chanted her name. Mira and Arya weren't close, but she knew how down the Gryffindor was about the last game, and was glad that she won.

"We goin' to the feast?"Mick questioned, rubbing his stomach.

His twin, Devan, punched his arm; obviously it wasn't the first time Mick had asked that question. People were passing around mugs of butterbeer, though Mira wasn't sure where they had come from. Seamus grabbed one for her, and the three of them showed in closer.

When Gavin finally put Arry down, Adelaine ran over and gave her a huge hug. Was she sad that Gold lost? A bit. But her sadness was far outweighed by her happiness. Arya had been so torn about the way the last match went, if she’d lost again she probably wouldn’t have played Quidditch anymore.

Brilliant job, Arry,” she grinned, patting her on the back.

The crowd in the stands had nearly cleared out, and only the teams were on the pitch. Adele noticed Seamus, Mira, and Peyton and waved. Then she felt a tap on her shoulder, and turned to see Symon.

Great game, Adele,” he said, smiling. It was the first time he’d called her anything but Adelaine, which sounded terribly formal.

So you aren’t upset about the Jack thing?” she questioned.

Never was, it wasn’t your fault,” Symon assured her, looking grimly at Asher. “Let’s go to the feast!

Her stomach rumbled in agreement, and they were off. They didn’t even bother changing out of their uniforms.

Arya found that she loved the feeling she got when everyone was cheering her name. The feeling of crowd-surfing, however, would take longer to get used to. When she was finally back on her feet, she went straight to Marigold.

Good game, mate,” she said, grinning. “I’ll be looking forward to next year when it’s real!

She hugged her friend and ran back over to the group. Someone handed her a mug of butterbeer, and she downed it thirty seconds. Gavin threw his arm over her shoulders and refilled the mug.

You did it!” he shouted, grinning. “I knew you would!

Aye, great job!” Finn agreed, clapping her on the back.

Ye’re gonna be real competition next year, lass,” Seamus laughed, mussing her hair.

They, like the rest of the players, decided to stay in their uniforms and headed to the feast, laughing and joking the whole way.

Marigold hugged Arya back and punched her shoulder.

"Maybe I'll actually catch the snitch one of these days."she said playfully. Everyone laughed but it was the truth. She didn't catch the snitch in either of the Quidditch matches. She was 0 for 2 at the moment. But, there had to be losers and there had to be winners. You're just having a bad day.she thought to herself. Jacob came up and handed her a mug of butterbeer.

"You did great." he said.

"Thanks."she said. Jacob was immediately surround by Mick and Devan, who we're asking him  all sorts of questions about being on a real Quidditch team. Marigold laughed and noticed Healer Alys gesturing to her from the Gold Tent. Marigold went in and saw Jack still on his bed.

"We're gonna have to move him to the Hospital Wing. Can you meet me there, with a bed ready to go?"she asked. Marigold nodded and was about to leave when she bumped into Asher. He caught her before she could hit the ground. They just stared at each other awkwardly.

"Good job."he finally said.

"Thanks. And, sorry, about the yelling and the slapping and stuff." she said, looking at her shoes.

"It's okay. You were right. I had no right to yell and you snapped me back to my senses. I forgive you."he said, looking at his shoes. Again, awkward silence. After about a minute, Marigold clapped her hands together.
